My name is…

My name is not Refugee.

My neighbourhood was bombed and was no longer safe - so we had to leave.
I am a refugee, but that is not my name.

My name is not Child.

I am ten years old; I am a child, but that is not my name.

My name is not Orphan.

I am an orphan, but that is not my name.

My name is not Muslim.

I am Muslim, but that is not my name.

My name is not a label - it is my right.

My name is…
